On March 23, 2011, VOA issued article titled “US Developing Radiation Sickness Drug” which covered topic on serious radiation leaks at Japan's damaged Fukushima and how researchers are working on antidotes for radiation exposure.
Interesting to note was report that Col. Andrew Huff, a spokesman for the research institute explained :
“The symptoms of acute radiation sickness will be just exactly like a terrible flu,"
