CDC Deletes 72,277 COVID-19 Deaths From Database, Blames It On “Coding Error”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has deleted 72, 277 deaths that should not have been counted as COVID-19 deaths from its database, blaming it on a “coding error”. The database includes roughly a quarter of those under the age of 18.

The adjustment resulted in removal of 72,277 deaths previously reported across 26 states, including 416 pediatric deaths.

Almost 970 thousand deaths have been attributed to COVID-19 in the US, and the update would mean that the numbers were inflated by almost 8%.

According to the CDC’s website where on March 15th , they secretly updated its data tracker website :

https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#demographics

“Data on deaths were adjusted after resolving a coding logic error. This resulted in decreased death counts across all demographic categories.”

“On March 15, 2022, data on deaths were adjusted after resolving a coding logic error. This resulted in decreased death counts across all demographic categories.”

Table on the left is from BEFORE the one on the right which shows deaths dropped over 70k :
