The Suppressed article about a vaccine documentary that was pulled from the Times of Malta online in 2017 after pressure from the Health Department
Since we abhor censorship and support freedom of expression and the right for readers to get both sides of any story, which is true journalism, we are reproducing the article published by the Times of Malta on the 16th April 2017, which the editor, quaking in his boots after getting told off by the health inquisitors, subsequently removed from the online edition.
To be fair, the paper had initially given the go ahead to publish the article, and when the health department, panicking over the fallout of the article, complained and criticised it, the newspaper had explained that it was published in line with the principles of journalism and getting the other side of the story. It committed itself to publishing a response by health officials. But this was not enough for the health inquisitors. The original article also had to be deleted from the records so that the public would not be able to read it, hear both sides, and draw their own conclusions. And they would not have access to the link in the article to the original documentary, which has subsequently been removed.
The Health Department in Malta was only ready to play ball just as long as the other team remained in the changing rooms and were not allowed to play, or were simply removed from the field.
Shame on you health authorities, for suppressing freedom of speech, and trying to deny readers access to other opinions. Looks like you are incapable of making a valid counter argument to persuade people, so you get articles you do not like pulled from the press.
